Report: LaMichael James to enter draft
Oregon junior running back LaMichael James will declare for the NFL draft, a school source told The Oregonian on Wednesday.
James has rushed for 1,646 yards and 17 touchdowns despite missing two games with a dislocated elbow.
"LaMichael has told me that not only is the report 100 percent untrue, but that he has yet to make a decision," a school spokesman said in a statement.
The 5-foot-9, 185-pound James was a Heisman Trophy finalist last year, but fell out of the race this season after being injured on Oct. 6 against California.
There was speculation last season that James might bolt for the NFL, but he announced before the BCS championship game against Auburn that he was staying.
James will lead Oregon (11-2) against Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl Game presented by Vizio on Jan. 2.
Information from The Associated Press contributed to this report.
