Wisconsin offensive lineman Travis Frederick will enter the NFL draft.

Frederick says forgoing his final year of eligibility was "one of the toughest decisions in my life," but he says he believes he's ready for the NFL. In an open letter to his teammates, coaches and Wisconsin fans, Frederick says his time with the Badgers gave him "the skills, techniques, and football IQ that I believe I need to be successful at the next level."

Frederick started all 14 games this season for the Badgers, who lost to Stanford in the Rose Bowl Presented By Vizio on Tuesday.

Frederick has been told he may be picked late in the first round or early in the second, a source told ESPN.

Frederick, 6-foot-4, 338 pounds, was a first-team All-Big Ten offensive lineman. He can play center and guard. Frederick is expected to graduate with a degree in computer engineering this spring.

Information from ESPN's Joe Schad and The Associated Press was used in this report.
