Sanders was a second-team All-America and was named the SEC's co-special teams player of the year. He also led the Gamecocks with 45 receptions for 531 yards and nine touchdowns.
Sanders led the SEC and was fourth in the nation with a 15.13-yard punt return average and was named MVP of the Outback Bowl, a 33-28 South Carolina win over Michigan. In the game, Sanders caught nine passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns while also scoring on a 63-yard punt return.
"Ace had an exceptional game in the Outback Bowl," Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said in a statement, "and he felt like maybe it was his time, he was as hot as he was going to be. We're all for Ace and we wish him the best."
