Buckeyes' Darron Lee opts for draft

Ohio State linebacker Darron Lee is the latest Buckeyes player to announce his intentions to enter the NFL draft.

The third-year sophomore posted on Twitter on Saturday that he will forgo his final two seasons in Columbus.

Lee's announcement came a day after Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa, regarded by many as a potential No. 1 overall pick, confirmed he was draft-bound. Fellow underclassmen Ezekiel Elliott and Cardale Jones have also said they will leave school early.

Lee had 62 tackles this season, including a team-high seven in the Buckeyes' Battlefrog Fiesta Bowl win over Notre Dame on Friday.

ESPN NFL draft analyst Todd McShay had Lee going 23rd overall in his first 2016 mock draft. Mel Kiper Jr. has him rated as the seventh overall outside linebacker.
