Four downs: Chiefs can swing fantasy playoffs

Alex Smith is playing like a top-10 fantasy quarterback, his weapons are producing and Kansas City's schedule couldn't be easier for the stretch run.

Brady engineers game-tying drive

With 1:09 left in the game, Patriots QB Tom Brady led his team down the field 51 yards. That put New England in range for a 47-yard Stephen Gostkowski field goal to tie the game at 24. New England starts with the ball. Follow live

Broncos take lead with Osweiller TD

Brock Osweiller led the Broncos for a go-ahead touchdown drive on a 5-play, 83-yard TD capped off with a 4-yard pass to Andre Caldwell. Denver leads 24-21 with 1:09 left in the game. Follow live

Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski was carted off the field after remaining down on the field following an incomplete pass with 2:49 remaining in the game. Quarterback Tom Brady and Bill Belichick came over to check on Gronkowski, who was immediately writhing in pain as he landed. Gronkowski is obviously a vital part of the Patriots offense and his potential absence would dramatically alter the complexion of the rest of the season.

Gronkowski leaves with knee injury

The Jets set a franchise record by holding the Dolphins to 12 rushing yards -- yes, 12. The Jets made a change at outside linebacker. Demario Davis, an every-down player for the first 10 games, was used in a rotation with Erin Henderson. They alternated series. "You have to earn playing time around here," Todd Bowles said, "and Erin has done that."

A muffed punt by undrafted rookie WR Chris Harper, which the Broncos recovered early in the fourth quarter, was turned into a touchdown as Denver has sliced the Patriots lead to 21-14. The Patriots would normally have Julian Edelman or Danny Amendola back to field the punt in that situation, but both are out with injuries. Harpers muff could ultimately be a turning point in the game, as the Patriots had looked ready to take control at that point.

Brady ties Marino with long TD pass

With Tom Brady's 63-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Bolden in the 4th quarter against Denver, it marked his 420th career TD pass, which ties Dan Marino for 3rd all-time.

RB Brandon Bolden's 63-yard catch-and-run TD early in the fourth quarter to give the Patriots a 21-7 lead over the Broncos was a good example of the Patriots going deep into their options. Up to that point in the game, Bolden had played just nine snaps, as LeGarrette Blount (20) and James White (19) were used more at RB. Brady had connected with Bolden on an 18-yard TD against Washington on Nov. 8, also down the right side. That play had come after Dion Lewis left the game with a torn ACL.

The Patriots lead the Broncos 14-7 after three quarters, with the teams playing a scoreless 15 minutes after halftime. Its been a field-position game, with both punters playing important roles. For the Patriots, its been a struggle on offense as they cant seem to find something that consistently works for them, in part because the running game hasnt been something they can turn to regularly. Its anyones game over the final 15 minutes (and perhaps longer).

Cardinals QB Carson Palmer on the officials Sunday: "You can't say anything if they screw it up. Just like we miss plays, the refs miss plays. It happens. It's part of the deal. You have to fight through that."

Broncos lose several players with injuries

During tonight's game against the Patriots, the Broncos announced they would be without safety T.J. Ward, guard Louis Vasquez, and nose tackle Sylvester Williams for the rest of the game. The Patriots lead 14-7 in the 3rd quarter. Follow live

OBJ makes another mind-blowing catch

This diving, one-handed TD grab might be the second most famous catch in Odell Beckham Jr.'s career, but it was still pretty darn good.

PATRIOTS 14, BRONCOS 7 (halftime): Patriots used early Broncos mistakes, including a shanked punt by Britton Colquitt and an interception by Brock Osweiler after his arm was hit during the throw, for touchdown drives of 47 and 15 yards. Broncos narrowed the gap with a second-quarter scoring drive.

PATRIOTS 14, BRONCOS 7 (halftime): The Patriots got off to a fast start to take a 14-0 lead, before the Broncos got back into the game late in the second quarter with a touchdown drive aided by the Patriots losing starting linebacker Donta Hightower to a knee injury for the final two plays of that march. Hightower, who is leading the defensive huddle and is a three-down player, is questionable to return with a knee injury. The Patriots get the ball to open the second half after winning the opening toss.

Patriots LB Donta Hightower left for the locker room at the 2-minute warning after sustaining what appeared to be a leg injury on the Broncos touchdown drive late in the second quarter. Hightower is calling the defensive signals and leading the huddle tonight. He is a three-down player. In his absence, Jonathan Freeny bumps up to the No. 1 role, followed by Jerod Mayo.
