Wilson last coached with Cowboys

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bears hired Wade Wilson as quarterbacks coach Monday.

Wilson, a 22-year NFL veteran, was the quarterbacks coach for the Dallas Cowboys from 2000-02. He also played for the Cowboys, serving as Troy Aikman's backup on the Super Bowl XXX championship team in 1995.

His career in the NFL began in 1981 when he was drafted in the eighth round by the Minnesota Vikings. He led Minnesota to three playoff appearances in 11 seasons.

Wilson also played with the Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders.
