Severed Achilles' tendon ends Titans' Long's season

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Defensive tackle Rien Long will need
season-ending surgery on his injured Achilles' tendon after an MRI
exam showed it was severed, Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher said

The Titans placed Long, a three-year veteran, on injured
reserve. His roster spot was filled Sunday when running back
LenDale White reported for camp after the paperwork on his contract
had been completed.

With humidity and the temperature making it feel like 105
degrees, the Titans hit the field in full pads for the first time
in training camp and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth left
practice early with heat-related dizziness.

He was treated inside the Titans' locker room at Austin Peay
State University and did not return.

"Albert went real hard early in practice and got dizzy,"
Fisher said. "We're not going to take any risks there, so we took
him in to cool him off."
