SAN FRANCISCO -- Running back Shaun Alexander returned to
the Seattle lineup on Sunday for the first time since September,
while Matt Hasselbeck was listed as the third quarterback for the
Seahawks' game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Alexander, the league MVP last season, has been out nearly two
months with a broken left foot. He returned to practice this week
for the first time since playing against the New York Giants on
Hasselbeck practiced all week for the first time since he
sprained a ligament in his right knee against Minnesota on Oct. 22.
But he was listed as the third QB behind starter Seneca Wallace and
backup David Greene.
Tight end Vernon Davis, the No. 6 overall pick for San Francisco
in the April draft, returned from a broken leg that sidelined him
Sept. 24 against Philadelphia.
