Gross, Otah return to practice; Kalil sits out

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers are getting healthier on the offensive line.

Starting tackles Jordan Gross and Jeff Otah returned to practice Thursday. Both players missed Sunday's win over the Kansas City Chiefs and sat out practice Wednesday.

The Panthers still have some injury concerns, however. Center Ryan Kalil missed practice for a second straight day.

Gross was cleared to practice after passing a series of tests following a concussion sustained against the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 28. Otah suffered a sprained right ankle in the same game. Coach John Fox hopes Gross and Otah will play Sunday at Tampa Bay.

Kalil was injured in the win over the Chiefs. Geoff Hangartner is expected to fill in if he can't play against the Buccaneers.
