ATLANTA -- A lawyer who has represented Adam "Pacman" Jones, members of his family and his friends is suing the NFL defensive back for fees "in excess of $10,000," according to a report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Manny Arora claims he is owed for 18 different cases, ranging from speeding to kidnapping to murder, in the case of Fleming Daniels. None of the cases involve Jones directly, but he remains the subject of the suit. The suit lists Deborah Jones, James Jones, lewis Kueffor and Daniels as the people Arora represented.
Arora is a high-profile Atlanta lawyer who has assisted hockey player Dany Heatley, among others. Heatley was charged with vehicular homicide in the death of teammate Dan Snyder. He pleaded guilty to lesser charges and avoided jail time.
Jones was recently released by the Dallas Cowboys after one season. He has been arrested six times and was suspended for the entire 2007 season.
