Eagles-Patriots Preview
| SCOUTING REPORT |
Eagles must get pressure on Brady to have any chanceCan anybody in the NFL play with the Patriots? Simply put, the Eagles will have to play their best game of the season to even stay close with the high-powered Patriots. Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson will look to attack the pocket, while forcing QB Tom Brady into making game-changing mistakes. But how will Johnson matchup versus the Patriots' spread offensive attacks?
Expect the Patriots to come out with multiple personnel groupings to spread the field, while creating mismatches that Brady can exploit on the backend. The Eagles must find a way to run the ball with RB Brian Westbrook and have the same success that Colts RB Joseph Addai had a few weeks back. Look for Dean Pees to load-up the box to contain Westbrook, while forcing either Donovan McNabb or A.J. Feeley to beat them through the air. |
