Chargers place WR Floyd, LB Freeney on IR

Two front-line players for the San Diego Chargers are done for the season. Receiver Malcom Floyd and pass-rusher Dwight Freeney will be placed on the season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Freeney will undergo surgery on his torn quad and miss the rest of the season, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
