Player News (last updated: November 22, 2009)
News: Mendenhall racked up 116 total yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs.
Spin: Mendenhall carried 21 times for 80 yards but seemed a bit more dangerous out of the backfield Sunday. He had just four receptions but they went for 36 yards and a touchdown (the first receiving touchdown of his career). He also saved a touchdown for the Steelers when Ben Roethlisberger was picked off in the endzone in the fourth quarter. KC's Andy Studebaker raced toward a pick-six, but was chased down by Mendenhall just a few yards shy of the Steelers' endzone. He may have been spelled a bit more by Willie Parker on Sunday, but he is still the focal point of the rushing attack.

Steelers forgot about Mendenhall late

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette (21 hours ago)
Remember when it was fashionable to trash Rashard Mendenhall, to snark on his fumbling, riff on his evident indecision, bewail his questionable status as a force for good on an offense laced with All-Pros and Super Bowl MVPs? Well there's good news: RasharMendenhall's progression might have made him the best player on the field yesterday.

Harris: Steelers pick a strange time for run call

Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (23 hours ago)
The defending Super Bowl champions are waging an internal war on offense. On the one hand, the Steelers now fancy themselves as a passing team that ranked No.
