Kaepernick: Sherman 'ridiculous'
Kaepernick Calls Sherman's Antics 'Ridiculous'
The normally even-keeled quarterback, speaking with ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike" on Thursday, offered up some harsh words for Sherman, whose rant about 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree set off a media firestorm.
"To me, it was ridiculous," Kaepernick said. "But if that's what you need to do to make yourself feel like a better player, you have to tell everyone, I'm the best corner in the league, go ahead and tell them."

49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick made headlines by taking on Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman. And Kaepernick's comments were right on the money, writes Bill Williamson. Blog
Kaepernick's pass intended for Crabtree in the final seconds was tipped away by Sherman and intercepted by Malcolm Smith, clinching the Seahawks' thrilling 23-17 victory over San Francisco. After the interception, Sherman ran over, tapped Crabtree on the backside and eventually made a choking gesture directed at Kaepernick.
Then, in a postgame interview on Fox Sports, Sherman became even more heated.
"I'm the best corner in the game!" Sherman yelled. "When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that's the result you're gonna get. Don't you ever talk about me!"
Sherman then was asked who was talking about him.
"Crabtree," he said. "Don't you open your mouth about the best, or I'm gonna shut it for you real quick."
Sherman, who has since apologized for his actions, was fined $7,875 for unsportsmanlike conduct/taunting against the 49ers.

49ers QB Colin Kaepernick tells the guys about his Beats by Dre commercial, his draft position, playing for Jim Harbaugh, the risks involved with mobile QBs, what he learned from the NFC Championship and more.
Later Thursday, in an interview on ESPN's "SportsCenter," Kaepernick said this about Sherman's antics: "At some point, it's going to catch up to you." Kaepernick also noted he would be rooting for the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Kaepernick also said he didn't regret trying to get the ball to Crabtree against Sherman, who is considered by many to be the game's best corner.
"I'll take Crabtree against Sherman any day of the week," Kaepernick said.
Still, Kaepernick continued to take blame for the loss as the 49ers came up just shy of their second straight Super Bowl appearance.
"If I throw that ball one foot farther, it's a TD, and now you're the goat, Richard Sherman," Kaepernick said.
Kaepernick looks forward to seeing Sherman again."He's afraid of our receivers, and that's something I'm looking forward to [exploiting] next year," he told the New York Post.
