2013 NFL Power Rankings: Week 14

Updated: December 3, 2013, 3:35 PM ET

In the AFC, mediocre teams still have plenty of life.

Heading into Week 14, six teams at 6-6 or 5-7 remain in the running for the conference's final playoff spot. If the season ended today, the Ravens would be the team to advance -- and that falls in line with how our voters (John Clayton, Ashley Fox, Dan Graziano, Jamison Hensley, Mike Sando and Kevin Seifert) see things.

Baltimore, buoyed by a Thanksgiving night victory over rival Pittsburgh, has jumped four spots to No. 14. Next in line among those vying for the AFC's No. 6 seed are the Chargers at No. 16, followed by the Dolphins (No. 17), Steelers (No. 18), Titans (No. 21) and Jets (No. 23).

Scintillating? Not exactly, but it will be interesting to see how the race plays out. Like it or not, mediocre teams are part of the story in the AFC.
