ESPN.com's Power Poll
The rankings are determined by a poll of ESPN.com's NFL staff -- senior writers John Clayton, Len Pasquarelli and Chris Mortensen (click here for Mort's rankings) and ESPN.com NFL editors Peter Lawrence-Riddell and James C. Black. Click here to let us know what you think.
Editor's note: The Power Rankings are updated every Tuesday.

Finally, a team that didn't cower under the pressure of being No. 1 in the Power Rankings. Of course, it's easier not to cower when you're facing the Lions. But hey, they all count and you still have to go out and get it done.

With an impressive defensive performance against the Chiefs, the 49ers jumped three spots to No. 2. We're sure there will be some Saints fans wondering why the 49ers moved ahead of them (especially since the Saints beat the teams at No. 1 and No. 2), but a shaky performance against the Panthers will do that.

Anyway, on to the rankings. If you want to see last week's rankings, click here. Also, if two teams are ranked in the same spot, it's not a mistake, it means they're tied.
