Power Rankings: Colts jump back to No. 1

Week:

ESPN.com's Power Rankings
The rankings were determined by a poll of ESPN.com's NFL staff -- writers John Clayton, Len Pasquarelli and Michael Smith; Scouts Inc. insiders Jeremy Green and Keith Kidd; and ESPN.com NFL editors Peter Lawrence-Riddell and Joe Wojciechowski.

After falling from the top spot for a week, the Colts regained their No. 1 perch with an impressive win over the Eagles. The Chargers actually received more first-place votes than the Colts (four to three), but two third-place votes bumped San Diego down to No. 2.

As the season has progressed, it has become apparent that the AFC is still superior to the NFC, and that is reflected in this week's rankings, in which the top four teams are from the AFC. The Bears, who check in at No. 5, are the highest-rated NFC team, although their lead over the Cowboys is slim.

The rankings also have a new No. 32, with the Lions earning a spot in the basement this week. If their play on the field weren't bad enough, they had to turn to taunting Joey Harrington over the P.A. system this week. That's basement-level stuff.

Anyway, on to the rankings. You can rank the teams yourself with SportsNation's NFL Power Rankings.
