ESPN.com's Power Rankings
The rankings were determined by a poll of ESPN.com's NFL staff -- writers John Clayton, Len Pasquarelli and Michael Smith; Scouts Inc. insiders Jeremy Green and Keith Kidd; and ESPN.com NFL editors Peter Lawrence-Riddell and Joe Wojciechowski.

It's always interesting to look at the rankings near the end of the season to see who the highest-ranked team is that will likely miss the playoffs. That honor falls on the Titans this season. After starting 0-5, the Titans have won eight of their last 10 games, including six straight. But despite all that, the Titans need to win and get a lot of help to make the playoffs. They might be playing better than some of the teams that make the playoffs, but 0-5 is a big hole to climb out of.

On the flip side, the Giants are ranked 20th, have lost six of their last seven games and yet are still in the driver's seat to be the final wild-card team in the NFC. In fact, the final NFC wild card will come from a group of five teams ranked somewhere between No. 17 and No. 22.

Anyway, on to the rankings. You can rank the teams yourself with SportsNation's NFL Power Rankings.
