DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions drafted Titus Young last year, envisioning him as the receiver to eventually replace veteran Nate Burleson.
It has happened sooner than planned, and Young is making the most of his opportunity.Young caught his second touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford on a 1-yard slant with 20 seconds left, lifting Detroit to a 28-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.Game notes
Lions S Louis Delmas injured his left knee, which was surgically repaired in August, and left in the third quarter. "It's the same knee, but I don't know that it is the same injury," Schwartz said. "He'll have tests." ... The Lions left starting LB DeAndre Levy (shoulder) and key CB Bill Bentley (ankle) inactive and Seattle was without reserve WR Braylon Edwards and backup DE Jason Jones inactive. The team said Edwards woke up with a swollen knee and the decision to leave him out was made after he tried to go through pregame warm-ups.

Research Notes
Matthew Stafford completed 11-of-20 passes outside the numbers for 131 yards and all three of his touchdowns. Entering Sunday, the Seahawks had allowed five touchdowns with four interceptions on throws outside the numbers. Calvin Johnson was held to one catch for 15 yards and a dropped pass on three targets outside the numbers, but Stafford connected with Titus Young on all six targets for 81 yards and two touchdowns on those throws. Overall, Young finished the day with a perfect catch percentage (9-of-9) for 100 yards and two touchdowns, the second different receiver in the league with at least eight targets and a perfect catch percentage (Randall Cobb has done it twice).
Matthew Stafford completed 30-of-39 passes thrown 10 yards or fewer downfield Sunday for 253 yards and two touchdowns. Stafford had success on throws that the Seahawks typically defend very well. [+]Seahawks Pass Defense vs Throws 10 Yards or Fewer, This Season

Marshawn Lynch's 77-yard rushing touchdown was the longest touchdown of his career and longest by a Seahawks' player since Shaun Alexander scored from 88 yards out in 2005.
