Brandon Carr's interception sets up Cowboys' OT win vs. Steelers
ARLINGTON, Texas -- Brandon Carr found a way to silence thousands of Terrible Towel-waving Pittsburgh fans at Cowboys Stadium and send the Dallas crowd home happy.
The Cowboys' cornerback intercepted a Ben Roethlisberger pass in overtime, returned it 36 yards to the 1, and Dan Bailey kicked a 21-yard field goal for a 27-24 win over the Steelers on Sunday.Bailey's kick -- 1:24 into OT -- won a game for the second straight week since Dallas practice squad linebacker Jerry Brown was killed in a one-car accident that led to manslaughter charges against teammate Josh Brent.More Cowboys-Steelers Coverage

Research Notes
With the Steelers leading 24-17 and 10:03 remaining in the game Antonio Brown fumbled a punt at his own 38-yard line, which the Cowboys recovered at the PIT 44 and scored a game-tying touchdown seven plays later. Pittsburgh's win probability, had Brown simply been tackled at the 38, would have been 84.4 percent. Instead their win probability dipped to 72.2 percent following the fumble, and 51.2 percent following the touchdown. | |||||||||||||||
Tony Romo picked on the Steelers cornerbacks without Ike Taylor, attempting 29-of-42 (69.0 percent) passes outside the painted field numbers, his highest percentage of passes outside the numbers this season. Romo completed 21-of-29 (72.4 percent) passes on such throws for 234 yards a touchdown. The Steelers defense has allowed four touchdowns outside the numbers without Taylor in the last two weeks.
