BENGALS 17, RAMS 7 (HALFTIME): The Rams offense showed some signs of life in the second quarter with Tavon Austin doing most of the damage but the defense promptly allowed a touchdown drive to wipe out any momentum that gave St. Louis. The Rams must find a way to continue to piece together drives in the second half -- something theyve done infrequently all year -- but they need the defense to do its usual yeomans work as well if the Rams are going to have a chance to win this one.

A gutsy call by the Saints to attempt 57-yard field goal and a clutch kick by Kai Forbath to nail it. His previous career high was 50. Texans still lead 14-6, though.

Dan Graziano @DanGrazianoESPN

Third and goal from the three, Cousins hits Crowder for apparent TD, but it's being reviewed. May have been down short of the line.

Antonio Gates returns to end zone

Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is not doing his WRs any favors today. Several times he's led them into big hits. MIA now 0 of 6 on third downs.

Matthew Berry @MatthewBerryTMR

Given how well KC D has played & how poor BUF's passing O has been recently (plus Tyrod hurt - didn't practice much)..this is shocking

One underrated aspect of Thomas Rawls' season has been his big-play ability for the Seahawks' offense. Rawls is averaging one run of 20+ yards every 16.8 attempts. Marshawn Lynch averaged just one every 48.9 attempts since the start of the 2014 season. Rawls will look to break one against a Steelers defense that has allowed just five explosive runs all season.

Giants lineman Schwartz fractures leg

The Giants' offensive line, already in shambles, will be without Geoff Schwartz as the team announced he fractured his leg in today's game vs. the Redskins. New York, down 10-0, is already playing without two of its top linemen.

Peterson moves up rushing list

Vikings RB Adrian Peterson has 48 yards rushing today, giving him 11,244 for his career. He passed both Corey Dillon and O.J. Simpson on the NFL's all-time rushing yards list today, moving into 19th place. He needs 109 yards to pass John Riggins. Follow live

Austin cleans up after big run

Tavon Austin was pushed out of bounds after a big 60-yard gain, then ran it in to the end zone two plays later for his third rushing TD of the season, cutting the Bengals lead to 10-7 in the second quarter. Austin has a career-high 67 yards on three carries today. Follow live

The Rams got on the board for the first time with a 5-yard touchdown run from Tavon Austin to make it 10-7 Cincinnati. Two plays earlier, Rams ran wildcat look with Todd Gurley in shotgun. Gurley made read and handed it to Austin, who went for 60 yards. Earlier this week, Rams coaches discussed trying different things to help run game ignite. That was one thing they practiced all week. It worked. Gurley/Austin remains Rams best hope for offensive production.

Ronald Darby is walking to the locker room for the Bills. He joins fellow rookie RB Karlos Williams as players injured in this game.

DeSean Jackson continues to haunt Giants

New York fans grimace at the memory of Jackson's walk-off punt return in 2010, and he just added career TD reception No. 5 against the Giants (tied for his most against any opponent). Follow live

John Keim ESPN Staff Writer

The Redskins have wanted to use more play-action passes for Kirk Cousins this season, but the lack of success on the ground game has made it difficult. That and the absence of a deep threat in DeSean Jackson hurt that ability. But with Jackson healthy and the Redskins having a little more success on the ground, it was a good time to use that tactic.

James Walker ESPN Staff Writer

Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill is having one of those games again early where he doesn't look sure of what he's seeing in coverage. The Jets are confusing him so far and has one interception.

Redskins defense clamping down on Giants

Washington's pitching a shutout early in the second quarter. The unit has picked off Eli Manning twice and allowed less than 100 yards. The Redskins just came up with a long TD and lead 10-0. Follow live
