Panthers DE Jared Allen was trying to explain explain how to chase Russell Wilson when he said you have to "shoot your gun," then caught himself and said he probably shouldn't have said it that way. He eventually got to take your shot" to be politically correct. He jokingly reminded he is an avid hunter. It was a funny moment.

Rams had first bye week practice Tuesday with emphasis on making corrections and self-scouting. They'll get a head start on preparations for week 7 against Cleveland this week but for now their focus is on improving within. That means more reps for young players and some down time for veterans like James Laurinaitis, Robert Quinn and others.

Falcons WR Julio Jones said history shows he's played through a lot of injuries, like a broken foot and numerous hamstring injuries. Jones said his leg would have to be cut off or something for him not to play. Coach Dan Quinn said he anticipates Jones (hamstring/toe) facing the Saints on Thursday night after he participated in Tuesday's walkthrough.
