Saints CB Keenan Lewis was placed on injured reserve Thursday with the Saints signing Chris Owens. Lewis' season was plagued by a preseason sports hernia and then a Week 10 knee injury. It was originally thought that he might be back in December, but apparently not with just six weeks left in the season.

The Patriots placed WR Aaron Dobson on season-ending injured reserve (ankle) and signed safety Dewey McDonald to take his place on the 53-man roster, according to ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates. Dobson injured his ankle in Mondays win over the Bills. The Patriots are thin at receiver, with Julian Edelman sidelined with a foot injury, Danny Amendola limited by a knee injury, and Keshawn Martin limited by a hamstring injury. The only healthy receivers on the current roster are Brandon LaFell and undrafted rookie Chris Harper.

Source: Johnny Manziel lied about video

The Browns QB, who was demoted to third string this week after a video surfaced of him partying in a club in Austin, Texas, lied to the team about the timing of the video, a source told ESPN's Pat McManamon. As first reported by Fox Sports, Manziel told the team the video was old, and encouraged his friends to lie to the Browns, as well. Story

Panthers strike first with pick-6

Kurt Coleman intercepted Tony Romo's pass on the third play of the game and returned in 36 yards for a TD to give the Panthers the early 7-0 lead. It was Romo's first pick-6 since Week 3 last season. It's also the Panthers' third pick-6 this season, tied for the league lead. Follow live
