Giants try to stop MRSA after diagnosis

Falcons wide receiver/return specialist Devin Hester, who hasn't played yet this season due to turf toe in his right foot, now won't be able to play in a game until Week 13 (Tampa Bay) after being placed on IR with a designation to return. Hester can't practice for six weeks and can't play for eight weeks. Eric Weems has handled returns with Hester out of the lineup.

ICYMI: Controversial MNF ending

Kam Chancellor saved the game for the Seahawks when he stripped Calvin Johnson just inches from the goal line with less than two minutes left. However, K.J. Wright batted the ball out of the back of the end zone for a touchback that should've been a penalty.


Giants put Fells on IR with staph infection

The Giants have scrubbed their locker room and training room following news of TE Daniel Fells' season-ending staph infection. A Giants' spokesman said: "We are working with infectious disease specialists, and we have defined protocols that we are following in consultation with the Duke Infection Control Outreach Network and local infectious disease specialists. Those protocols are being followed carefully."
