JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Jeremy Mincey did not make the trip to Houston with the team because of a violation of team rules.

Mincey has 13 tackles and two sacks in seven games this season. He missed three games in October with a concussion. The sixth-year pro from the University of Florida had a sack against Arizona last week.

Mincey's absence likely means first-year player Ryan Davis, who spent the first nine games on the practice squad before being active last week, will receive more playing time Sunday against the Houston Texans.
