Michael Crabtree likely to play

It appears standout San Francisco 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree will make his 2013 season debut Sunday when the team hosts St. Louis.

Asked at his Friday news conference if Crabtree will play Sunday, 49ers' coach Jim Harbaugh said it "looks that way."

Crabtree is not on the team's injury report. He tore his Achilles in May.

Because he had no setbacks since he began to practice Nov. 5, Crabtree is expected to be eased back into the rotation. San Francisco offensive coordinator Greg Roman indicated Thursday that Crabtree will likely not play extensively right away.

The 49ers have badly missed Crabtree. He was targeted on 34 percent of the 49ers' plays in 2012.

Meanwhile, several players are listed as questionable for the 49ers. They are: linebacker Ahmad Brooks (stinger), cornerback Tarell Brown (ribs), tight end Garret Celek (hamstring), guard Mike Iupati (knee), defensive tackle Ray McDonald (ankle), receiver Quinton Patton (foot) and linebacker Aldon Smith (shoulder). Brooks and Smith are the most likely to play out of the group.
