Chudzinski said Weeden was in the building Monday morning and was sent home. Weeden cannot play until he passes league-mandated concussion tests.
Jason Campbell, who missed the Jaguars game with a concussion, has been cleared for activity but not to practice, Chudzinski said.
Chudzinski said the next day or two will determine if Campbell can practice or play against the Patriots. He also acknowledged that there is a possibility that Alex Tanney may start.
Tanney was signed by the Browns a week ago off the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad.
Weeden had an up-and-down game against Jacksonville, throwing for 370 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions and losing a fumble.
The three turnovers occurred in the final 1:19 of the first half and led to 13 points for the Jaguars.
