JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts is facing offseason surgery on his groin, but he said he will try to play in the team's final three games.

Shorts said Friday afternoon that he got the results of an MRI exam Thursday but did not want to elaborate on what it revealed. However, he practiced Friday on a limited basis and said he is going to try to play Sunday' against the Buffalo Bills.

He is listed as questionable on the injury report.

"I've got a good feeling, but we'll see what happens," Shorts said.

Shorts has been battling a groin injury for much of the season and has managed it by not practicing on Wednesdays and being limited on Thursdays. That schedule was thrown off last week because the Jaguars played Houston on Thursday night, and there wasn't sufficient time to rest his groin from the previous Sunday's game against Cleveland.

Shorts leads the Jaguars in receptions (66), yards (777) and receiving touchdowns (three).

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring) and safety Johnathan Cyprien (thigh) are listed as doubtful and will be game-day decisions, coach Gus Bradley said.
