DETROIT -- Already down both of their starting cornerbacks with both Chris Houston and Rashean Mathis inactive for Sunday's game against the Giants, the Detroit Lions are now even more depleted in the secondary.

Bill Bentley, one of the Lions starting corners in place of Houston and Mathis, left the game with a head injury in the second quarter and is out for the rest of the game.

This leaves Detroit with little-used Jonte Green and Chris Greenwood along with rookie Darius Slay, who is recovering from a torn meniscus in his right knee, as the Lions' cornerbacks.

Detroit needs to win out and receive help to have a shot at the playoffs.
