Wright: Teams 'can't match' Seattle
In fact, Wright thinks the Seahawks wouldn't have any problems in a rematch with the Denver Broncos, regardless of how many times the teams played.
I'd probably go 90 out of 100. They might've got lucky those other 10 times. They're a good football team, but you know the way we play, our style of play most teams just can't match up with it.” -- K.J. Wright, on how many times the Seahawks would beat the Broncos
Wright, a starting linebacker for Seattle's star-studded defense, said that the Seahawks would beat the Broncos "90 out of 100" times during an interview Friday with NBC Sports Network.
"Probably 90 -- I'd probably go 90 out of 100," Wright said during his television interview on "Pro Football Talk."
"They might've got lucky those other 10 times. They're a good football team, but you know the way we play, our style of play most teams just can't match up with it. We are really good at what we do, we run the ball really well, we stop the run, and we just out hit guys, so you know most teams just can't match up with our style of play."
Wright recorded seven tackles Sunday in Seattle's 43-8 rout of Denver in Super Bowl XLVIII.
The Seahawks, who took the lead for good when the Broncos botched a snap for a safety on the first play from scrimmage, forced four turnovers and repeatedly harassed league MVP Peyton Manning.
"The first play of the game, when they snapped the ball over their head, I was like, 'All right, man. We got these boys,'" Wright said. "If you start the game off like that, something's not right.
"When that happened, I was like, 'All right man, I got my nerves calmed down.' And I was like, 'OK, I believe we got this one.'"
