James Starks returns to Packers

The Green Bay Packers and running back James Starks have agreed to terms on a two-year deal, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Caplan.

Injured for most of his first three seasons, Starks stayed relatively healthy last season, missing only three games.

Serving in a complementary role to Eddie Lacy, Starks averaged a career-high 5.5 yards per carry and had one 100-yard rushing game, in Week 2 against the Redskins.

While durability remains an issue, he could flourish in a part-time role.

ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter and ESPN.com Packers reporter Rob Demovsky contributed to this report.
