Jim Irsay's hearing postponed
The initial hearing for Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay scheduled for Wednesday has been postponed, the Hamilton County (Ind.) prosecutor said Tuesday in a statement.
Irsay's attorney moved to continue the initial hearing because Irsay is in an out-of-state rehabilitation facility.
Charges have not formally been charged against Irsay. He was arrested March 16 for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated and faces four felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.
If convicted on the felony charges, Irsay could face six months to three years in prison on each count. Irsay entered the rehab facility March 18.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said earlier this week Irsay is subject to league discipline for his arrest but that he would wait "to understand the facts" before making a decision.
