MIAMI -- The Dolphins have released quarterback Jordan Rodgers, the team announced Monday. He is the younger brother of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Jordan Rodgers was signed by the Dolphins on April 3 to challenge third-string quarterback Pat Devlin. However, Miami decided to cut Rodgers just a few weeks into the team's offseason program.

Miami also released wide receiver Michael Rios. The Dolphins drafted two receivers over the weekend in second-round pick Jarvis Landry and sixth-round pick Matt Hazel, moves that made Rios expendable. Miami has 10 receivers on its roster.
