Jim Irsay seeking a continuance
INDIANAPOLIS -- The attorney for Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is seeking a continuance in his trial.
Irsay, who was arrested in March, is scheduled to go to trial Aug. 28 for two misdemeanor charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
A message left at the Hamilton County prosecutor's office was not returned Monday.
There could be a delay in how NFL commissioner Roger Goodell disciplines Irsay if the continuance is allowed. Goodell has maintained a stance that he wants the legal process to play itself out first before deciding how to discipline Irsay.
