The NFL combine won't only be about improving draft position. Three players will win Porsche 911 Carrera cars.
The offer comes from Adidas, which is promising the cars, worth about $83,000 each, to the three fastest players in the combine's 40-yard dash who sign with the company before they step up to the line. The cars are wrapped in a cheetah print that matches the company's new Uncaged adizero 5-star cleat. The ultralight shoe hits shelves Thursday.
An advertisement for the shoes was to start running on ESPN.com on Thursday morning.
Last year, Adidas gave away $100,000 to the fastest player at the combine who ran in the company's cleats.
That prize went to former Oregon State wide receiver Brandin Cooks, who ran a 4.3-second 40 in Indianapolis. Cooks, who was drafted in the first round by the New Orleans Saints, went on to sign a shoe deal with Nike.
