Source: Nick Collins has neck surgery
Green Bay Packers Pro Bowl safety Nick Collins underwent neck surgery Thursday night in New York City to have a herniated disk in his neck repaired, according to a league source.
Collins' prognosis was good after the single fusion to the vertebrae, but it will take about six months to determine whether he will be able to resume his NFL career, according to the source.
Collins underwent the surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery.
