TAMPA, Fla. -- Indianapolis Colts quarterback Kerry Collins was inactive for Monday night's 24-17 loss to Tampa Bay, leaving recently signed Dan Orlovsky as the backup.

Collins is still dealing with concussion-like symptoms. Curtis Painter made his first NFL start in place of Collins, and completed 13 of 30 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns.

Guard Ryan Diem (ankle) and defensive tackle Fili Moala (ankle) were inactive for the Colts, along with quarterback Peyton Manning, receiver Anthony Gonzalez, defensive back Kevin Thomas and linebacker Ernie Sims.

The Buccaneers were without receiver Sammie Stroughter, running back Allen Bradford, cornerback Anthony Gaitor, tight end Zack Pianalto, defensive tackle Frank Okam and offensive linemen Derek Hardman and James Lee.
