Seahawks' Mike Williams ruled out
RENTON, Wash. -- Seahawks starting wide receiver Mike Williams has been ruled out of Seattle's game against the New York Giants.
NFC West Blog
ESPN.com's Mike Sando writes about all things NFC West in his division blog.
Williams was injured in last week's 30-28 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and was officially ruled out by the team on Friday after failing to pass a physical. Williams was down on the turf for a couple minutes after making a block on Marshawn Lynch's 11-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Ben Obomanu is expected to start Sunday for Williams, and Golden Tate is likely to see an increased workload.
Cornerback Marcus Trufant is expected to play after having lower back spasms in practice this week. Walter Thurmond will start if Trufant can't play.
Safety Kam Chancellor is expected to start after missing last week's game with a deep thigh bruise.
