Total QBR is a quarterback rating that takes into account all of a quarterback's contributions (passing, rushing, sacks, fumbles, penalties) to his team's scoring and winning and summarizes them into one number on a 0-100 scale, on which 50 is average.
Total QBR
ESPN introduces Total QBR:
On Sunday, Tony Romo (99.3) posted the highest Total QBR in a game this season. Romo was 6-for-6 on passes that traveled at least 11 yards down the field, including 4-for-4 on passes that traveled at least 21 yards and 2-for-2 on passes that traveled at least 31 yards (both for touchdowns). In the first half with the game still in question, Romo was 18-for-19, including a perfect 7-for-7 on third downs that all went for first downs. Romo did not fumble and was not sacked or intercepted.
Near the bottom was Philip Rivers, who had his worst game of the past four seasons. It was Rivers' fourth consecutive game with a QBR below 33.
