Source: Coach warns Lions about fouls

Countdown Daily Recap: MIN-DET
Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz reminded his players in a Saturday night meeting that he expects them to play a clean, smart, aggressive game against the Minnesota Vikings and he well-defined a new zero-tolerance policy for post-whistle personal foul penalties to the entire organization: Even if your name is Matthew Stafford, the player will be banished from the rest of the game, a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

After a 5-0 start, Detroit has dropped five of seven, and each defeat has included some element of controversy. The latest loss came last Sunday night at New Orleans, where the Lions were penalized 11 times for 107 yards while falling 31-17.
Three Lions players received fines for their actions in the loss and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh is serving a two-game suspension for stomping on a Packers player on Thanksgiving.
Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew was among those docked pay, fined $25,000 by the NFL for abusive conduct toward an official.
The league also said receiver Nate Burleson was fined $7,500 for grabbing a Saints player by the face mask, and returner Stefan Logan was fined $7,500 for flipping the football to an opponent.
