ESPN.com's Pat Yasinskas writes about all things NFC South in his division blog.
He finished the game 16-of-30 for 181 yards with two interceptions and a lost fumble as Tampa Bay surrendered 41 unanswered points in a 41-14 loss to the Jaguars. He was benched late in favor of Josh Johnson.
Freeman missed last week's game against Carolina with an injured throwing shoulder. He had been listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Jacksonville.
Cornerback Aqib Talib and receiver Sammie Stroughter also were inactive for the Buccaneers. E.J. Biggers is starting in place of Talib. Also inactive were quarterback Rudy Carpenter, safety Larry Asante, defensive end Daniel Te' o-Nesheim and offensive tackles Derek Hardman and James Lee.
Safety Dwight Lowery, newly signed receiver Taylor Price, defensive end Matt Roth and running back Deji Karim were inactive for the Jaguars. Rookie Chris Prosinski started in place of Lowery.
Quarterback Dan LeFevour and cornerback T.J. Heath also were inactive for Jacksonville.
