Sam Bradford could be done for 2011
A nagging high ankle sprain benched quarterback Sam Bradford for a fourth time this season Sunday, and the St. Louis Rams are considering whether to shut down the former No. 1 pick for the final two games, sources have told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
The Rams turned to Kellen Clemens against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Clemens was 25 for 36 for 229 and a late touchdown pass to Danario Alexander for the Rams, who lost 20-13 to the Cincinnati Bengals for their fifth loss in a row.

Clemens was signed off waivers from the Houston Texans two weeks ago as A.J. Feeley remained sidelined with a fractured right thumb.
Clemens appeared close to playing Monday night in a 30-13 loss the the Seattle Seahawks after Bradford took a hard hit on a failed flea-flicker during the Rams' third play, hitting his helmet on the turf.
Bradford, who also missed Weeks 6, 7 and 13, was again in a walking boot last week.
He said the injury has compromised his mechanics and put more stress on his arm. He was just 12 for 29 for 193 yards with an interception and no touchdowns against the Seahawks.
"It's not easy to come through and fully torque and get everything I have into it," Bradford said. "I'm not sure if it reduces arm strength, it just kind of limits your ability to put your entire body into throws at times."
