St. Louis also plan to interview New Orleans Saints assistant coach Aaron Kromer on Friday, league sources said.
The Rams also have interviewed Jeff Fisher, who's expected to choose this week between St. Louis and the Miami Dolphins.
Chudzinski interviewed for the Jaguars' head coaching job, but lost out to Mike Mularkey, whose hiring was announced Tuesday night.
Under Chudzinski, the Panthers finished seventh in the league on offense while setting a franchise record for total yards in a season. The Panthers scored 47 touchdowns.
The Rams fired coach Steve Spagnuolo after finishing 2-14 in 2011.
