Report: Rams, Vikes exec to meet again
The Rams will meet with Vikings director of player personnel George Paton for a second time regarding St. Louis' general manager job, a source told the St. Paul Pioneer Press.
NFC West Blog
ESPN.com's Mike Sando writes about all things NFC West in his division blog.
The source said the interview could happen as early as Monday. The paper also reported that Paton, who has been with the Vikings since 2007, met with the Rams last week.
St. Louis fired general manager Billy Devaney and coach Steve Spagnuolo on Jan. 2, one day after the Rams wrapped up a 2-14 season tied for the NFL's worst.
The Rams have since hired former Titans coach Jeff Fisher to replace Spagnuolo, but continue to search for Devaney's successor.
A source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that St. Louis interviewed Jets vice president of college scouting Joey Clinkscales in late January. Cardinals personnel directors Steve Keim, Titans vice president of football operations Lake Dawson and Colts director of player personnel Tom Telesco have also reportedly been mentioned as candidates.
Information from The Associated Press contributed to this report.
