Broncos add 2 new tight-end targets
The Denver Broncos added their second new tight end of the day Friday, reaching agreement on a three-year, $9 million deal with former Colt Jacob Tamme, who will be reunited with quarterback Peyton Manning.

Earlier Friday, the Broncos signed former Texans tight end Joel Dreessen to a three-year, $8.5 million deal.
Tamme is a four-year veteran who started five games for the Colts last season after logging a career-high 631 yards receiving in 2010 with 67 catches. He was seldom used in his first two seasons with the Colts, logging a combined 47 yards. Tamme was drafted out of Kentucky in the fourth round in 2008.
He has 92 career receptions for 855 yards and five touchdowns. In five playoff appearances, Tamme caught five passes for 46 yards.
Dreessen, a sixth-round draft pick by the New York Jets out of Colorado State in 2005, has played the past five seasons with the Texans, recording a career-high 518 receiving yards in 2010 and a career-best six touchdown catches last season.
Tamme and Dreessen join a rapidly evolving Broncos roster that added receiver Andre Caldwell and cornerback Tracy Porter on Thursday, two days after Manning was introduced with a goal, according to executive VP of football operations John Elway, "to make Peyton Manning the best quarterback that's ever played the game."
With Tamme and Dreessen on board, the Broncos have a quintet of tight ends that also includes Virgil Green, Julius Thomas and Cornelius Ingram. Green will miss the opening four games of the season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.

Dreessen, a two-time All-Mountain West Conference selection at Colorado State, has 110 receptions for 1,364 yards and 13 TDs in six NFL seasons.
