Former Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Sims-Walker is scheduled to work out Wednesday for the Houston Texans, according to a league source.

The Texans are in need of another veteran receiver ever since they decided to let go of Jacoby Jones, who signed with the Ravens.

In addition to the loss of Jones, the Texans are also without star wideout Andre Johnson who had arthroscopic knee surgery that caused him to miss organized team activities.

Sims-Walker split time last year between the St. Louis Rams and Jaguars, making a total of 12 receptions in six games last season -- his fourth since being drafted by Jacksonville in 2007.
