Rams' Robert Quinn facing charges
ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Rams defensive end Robert Quinn has been charged with drunken driving in suburban St. Louis, police and court officials said Thursday.
Florissant police Capt. Tim Lowery said Quinn was involved in a one-car accident on an exit ramp along Interstate 270 at 5:38 a.m. on July 10. Lowery said the responding officer suspected Quinn was intoxicated and arrested him without incident.

"He cooperated fully," Lowery said. Quinn posted bond that day and was released.
In addition to the drunken driving charge, Quinn is charged with failure to exercise a high degree of care, and with having no insurance. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 11, said Anna Davis, clerk for the municipal court in Florissant.
Quinn does not have a listed phone number and it wasn't clear if he had an attorney. His agent, Tony Fleming, did not return a message seeking comment.
"The Rams and the NFL office are aware of the situation," the team said. "We take such matters very seriously, and we will act accordingly once the legal process plays out."
Quinn was the Rams' first-round draft pick in 2011. He was third on the team with five sacks in 2011. He had 23 tackles in 15 games after not dressing for the season opener against Philadelphia.
Quinn, 6-foot-5, 265 pounds, was the 14th overall selection despite playing only two seasons at North Carolina and despite the circumstances of his early departure. He was declared ineligible by the NCAA in 2010 for receiving improper benefits, including jewelry and travel accommodations.
