Report: Redskins, Bills cleared
The NFL has not found evidence that bounty programs existed for the Washington Redskins or the Buffalo Bills when Gregg Williams on either staff, the Washington Post reported Wednesday, citing an anonymous league source.
League sources told the Post it did not find evidence to support the charges. The NFL has not released any official communication regarding the investigation's status.
Saints Bounty Scandal
An NFL investigation found the New Orleans Saints operated a bounty system that rewarded 22 to 27 players for hard hits and for injuring opposing players.

The accusations of improper behavior stem from former NFL defensive coordinator Gregg Williams' role in the New Orleans Saints bounty scandal. Williams has been suspended indefinitely by the NFL.
The NFL, after an extensive investigation, gave the harsh penalty to Williams after it found the coach administered a pay-for-performance program, which gave cash incentives to defensive players who knocked opponents out of the game. Within hours of the NFL's findings, Williams issued a statement apologizing for his role, calling it a "terrible mistake."
Williams was defensive coordinator for the Redskins from 2004 through 2007 and was the Bills' head coach from 2001-2003.
The NFL also dealt suspensions to Saints coach Sean Payton and linebacker Jonathan Vilma. Other current or former Saints slapped with suspensions include defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, Will Smith and Scott Fujita.
Vilma and several current and former teammates, as well as Saints assistant coach Joe Vitt, appealed in federal court last week and await a decision.
