Responding to a question about a report he wouldn't be with Green Bay next season, tight end Jermichael Finley told ESPN's Josina Anderson that "I want to be a Packer for life."

Finley It's a business, and I would love to be here my whole career. I'm comfortable here, and I want to be a Packer for life. That's all I can say about that.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported Sunday morning that if the Packers can't complete a trade of Finley this offseason, they will release him.

"I didn't check it out," Finley told ESPN of the report. "It's a business, and I would love to be here my whole career. I'm comfortable here, and I want to be a Packer for life. That's all I can say about that."

Finley had five catches for 61 yards in the Packers' victory over the Bears on Sunday that clinched their second straight NFC North title.

He told ESPN that the Packers haven't given him any signs that he and the team are headed for a split and blamed any speculation on his future on the media.

"I think that's just media. That's just talk out there. I haven't seen anything yet. They haven't shown me any signs. I'm here as far as I know," he said.

Finley signed a two-year, $15 million deal to remain with the Packers in February.

Finley's relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers has come into question this season after his agent questioned the quarterback's leadership qualities.

But Sunday, Finley said his relationship with Rodgers is "fine."

"It's good. Me and Rodgers are fine. We have a great relationship," he told ESPN. "I love the guy. He's a great player and an awesome quarterback. Hopefully, I'm here for the rest of my career with the guy."

Finley had questioned his chemistry with Rodgers earlier this season but told ESPN on Sunday that every quarterback-receiver combo has to work on its chemistry from time to time.

"That's with every receiver-quarterback combination. You're going to get unhappy at times, but that's in the scheme of things -- it happens," he said. "At the end of the day, we are teammates and best friends so that squashes everything."

Finley has 48 receptions for 525 yards and two touchdowns this season. Last season he set career bests with 767 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He also tied his career high with 55 catches.
