Report: Terrell Suggs shuns surgery

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs is choosing to rehab his torn right biceps this offseason rather than opt for surgery, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Suggs, 30, reportedly made the decision after receiving a second opinion on the injury.

The 2011 Defensive Player of the Year suffered the injury on Dec. 2, late in the Ravens' 23-20 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He missed the first six games of this past season while recovering from a torn Achilles, then returned to post 22 tackles with two sacks in eight games.

Suggs had 17 tackles and a forced fumble in the team's playoff wins over the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots.

In Super Bowl XLVII, he finished with just two tackles in the Ravens' 34-31 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
